Working from her studio in Buckinghamshire, Denise Williams creates a variety of significant sculptural pieces, jewellery, and bespoke essential objects - highlighting her cross-cultural heritage. A multi-disciplinary artist building 20 years of expertise, has resulted in a devotion for process, technique, and storytelling.
An emblematic reminder of the pre-colonial past, Denise introduces a contemporary relevance to the lost histories of traditional cultures - affected by slavery, colonialism, and diaspora. Her journey is an exploration of the cultural references that link the pre-colonial Caribbean heritage to indigenous West Coast Africa.

Denise will be showing in a joint exhibition in the J/M Gallery in Portobello, Notting Hill from the 6 - 12th July, 2022. Denise's latest collection 'Calabash' will be debuted, as well as her recent glass pane and sculptural pieces.
